Short CV

Abstract
Generating complex genomically engineered mouse models for biomedical research is often challenging and time-consuming. In this presentation, Dr. Ouyang explores traditional ES cell homologous recombination and CRISPR-mediated genome editing techniques for gene targeted animal model generation. He also introduces Cyagen’s extensive catalog of ready-to-use KO/cKO off-the-shelf mouse models developed using these technologies.
A key highlight of the presentation is Cyagen’s proprietary TurboKnockout platform, the latest ES-cell based gene targeting technology. TurboKnockout enables the creation of complex genomically modified mouse models in as fast as 6 months, 4-6 months shorter than traditional approach.
Finally, the presentation delves into Cyagen’s genomically humanized mouse program (HUGO-GT and HUGO-AB program), in which the mouse gene is replaced with the full-length human gene, including exons, introns, and UTRs. Dr. Ouyang discusses their applications in biomedical research, with a particular focus on cancer and rare disease gene therapy studies.
