Leandro Raul Soria won the Special Award at SSIEM Annual Meeting!

Leandro R. Soria, from Brunetti's group, won the Special Award at the 2022 Annual Symposium of the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolism (SSIEM) that was organized in Freiburg (Germany). for its contribution titled: "O-GlcNAcylation enhances CPS1 catalytic efficiency for ammonia and promotes ureagenesis".

Dr Soria got his PhD in Biological Sciences in Argentina. In 2014, he moved to Italy to join TIGEM as postdoc in the team of Nicola Brunetti-Pierri. Since 2021, he is a Staff Scientist in Brunetti's group). His major research effort is focused on investigation of novel mechanisms and therapies for hyperammonemia and inherited urea cycle disorders.
