Six students experience research at TIGEM with "Let's Be a Scientist 2026"

Six students, ten days in the laboratory, and an immersive experience in biomedical research. The 2026 edition of Let's Be a Scientist, an initiative promoted by ABE Italy in collaboration with Scuola Superiore Meridionale, recently concluded at TIGEM.

During the program, the six selected students joined different TIGEM research groups, working alongside scientists and taking part in laboratory activities focused on the study of genetic diseases. The experience gave them the opportunity to discover how scientific research is carried out, from experimental work to critical thinking and collaboration within an international research environment.

By opening its laboratories to young students, TIGEM reaffirms its commitment to promoting scientific culture and supporting the next generation of researchers. Initiatives such as Let's Be a Scientist represent an important opportunity to inspire future scientific careers and bring young people closer to the world of biomedical research.
