The 2025 edition of Let’s Be a Scientist, promoted by ABE Italy in collaboration with Scuola Superiore Meridionale (SSM) and TIGEM, is coming to an exciting conclusion!

The 2025 edition of the Let’s Be a Scientist project, promoted by ABE Italy in collaboration with the Scuola Superiore Meridionale (SSM) and TIGEM, is coming to a close.

Ten students, ten days, many experiences, lots of scientific discussions, and a generous amount of fun! These are the ingredients of Let’s Be a Scientist—an initiative that goes far beyond technical training. It’s a meaningful educational experience designed to nurture scientific curiosity and inspire future vocations, while building a real connection between science and younger generations. Integrated into various research groups at TIGEM and guided by dedicated tutors, students had the unique chance to “step into the shoes of a scientist” and experience first-hand the daily life of a research lab.

The project offers more than just technical training — it’s a valuable opportunity for personal and academic growth, designed to spark scientific curiosity and foster meaningful dialogue between science and the younger generation.

Tomorrow, Thursday 17 July, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the final presentations by the students who took part in the initiative will take place at the Scuola Superiore Meridionale. It will be a special opportunity to hear directly from the students about their experiences in the lab, the experiments they worked on, the scientific discussions they joined, and what they discovered during their time at TIGEM.
