Francesca Cervellini, from Leopoldo Staiano's lab, was awarded a travel grant by EMBO to attend to the workshop "Lipid droplets: Metabolic hubs in health and disease" from 17-22 September 2023 in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Spain. This EMBO Workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary and diverse group of scientists discussing recent developments and cutting-edge advances in LD research. The meeting is going to provide a unique platform for exchange between basic and clinical researchers across all career levels with ample opportunity for networking and career development.
The highly diverse and multidisciplinary workshop is composed of 8 sessions encompassing topics from molecular LD cell biology, biophysics, computational modeling and state of the art methodology in lipid analytics and diagnostics.
