Third worldwide convention of “Panettone artigianale”
A very special moment to celebrate the excellence of Accademia dei Maestri del Lievito Madre e del Panettone Italiano and the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine

This international event was organized by the Accademia dei Maestri del Lievito Madre e del Panettone Italiano, directed by the Dolce&Salato Training Institute of Maddaloni represented by chef Giuseppe Daddio and the Master Pastry Chef Aniello di Caprio. Andrea Ballabio, Director of TIGEM, and Alessandro Betti, Chief Fundraising Officer at Fondazione Telethon, also attended the meeting. It was a day of study, training, and discussion moderated by Tiberio Timperi, Italian journalist and radio television presenter.
Andrea Ballabio thanked the Accademia dei Maestri del Lievito Madre e del Panettone Italiano for choosing TIGEM as the place to hold the convention and declared "It is a great opportunity to share with the world the importance of research on rare diseases and to inform people on what really are rare diseases". Felice Casucci, tourism councilor of the Campania region, praised Pozzuoli as a place of imagination and innovation and TIGEM as a place in which excellence translates into reality through the work and the diligence of all the staff.
"Thanks to the people from the Accademia and thanks to all the people from TIGEM for their excellence" Alessandro Betti said. "Thanks also to this excellence, Fondazione Telethon is able to raise, year after year, a giant amount of money to allocate to research".
