What: The post-doctoral researcher will carry on projects aimed at developing novel gene therapy and gene editing platforms using viral (AAV) and non-viral delivery methods for the treatment of a wide range of inherited retinal and metabolic diseases. Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicants, based on their previous experience. Candidates coming to Italy for the first time, or returning after residing abroad, may take advantage of very attractive income tax benefits. The position will be funded thanks to a 5-years Advanced ERC research grant.
Qualifications: The candidates should have a PhD in Biology or a related discipline. Excellent skills in molecular biology are required, knowledge of basic bioinformatic tools would be preferred. Previous experience in the in vivo field is highly desirable, but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and able to work in a highly collaborative multi-cultural environment.
