Selection Notice: For the assignment of a highly specialized task to an external professional or company
In the framework of the Cascade Call associated to the project "ICSC” Spoke 8 “In Silico Medicine & Omics Data’ (PNRR Mission 4 - Component 2 - Investment 1.4 supported by the European Union - NextGenerationEU), TIGEM has been allocated resources to promote the project 'MAPPING-PDAC - Integrative Multi-Omics Analysis of Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma' (CUP J83C24001100006), aimed to contribute to the design of new clinical tests using simulation methods to reduce the time and costs of clinical trials. Additionally, the development of a technological platform for analyzing big data using artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms is foreseen. The project aims to define an innovative technological and experimental plan that will allow the identification of new therapeutic targets and, consequently, the development of previously unexplored precision medicine strategies. Technological advances based on the integration of multi-omics will lead to the creation of a detailed molecular landscape of PDAC (Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma) at the single-cell level. Principal Investigator: Brunella Franco
This public selection notice is aimed at assigning a highly specialized task to an external professional or company for the execution of specific activities within the MAPPING-PDAC project, in line with the objectives of Spoke 8.
The selected candidate/company will be responsible for participating in the following computational and bioinformatics activities:
- Integration of multi-omics data.
- Analysis of high-dimensional biological datasets using specific computational techniques.
- Creation of an integrated pipeline with advanced computational tools to efficiently identify and characterize driver genes.
- Preparation of concise and clear NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) reports containing details of the tumor sample and the technology used.
- Development of an interactive database integrating multi-omics measurements from patient samples, along with a web application for multi-omics data exploration. The database will collect information on the following crucial aspects of PDAC:
- Composition and functional orientation of infiltrating immune cells.
- Expression of the tumor antigenome.
- Tumor heterogeneity.
- Immunophenotypes (MHC molecules, immunostimulators, and immunoinhibitors).
-
Professional Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
- Proven experience in the analysis of complex biological data and the application of advanced computational techniques, particularly in the multi-omics domain.
