What: TIGEM is an internationally acclaimed institute for scientific research. Their 27 labs are divided into three themes: Cell Biology and Disease Mechanisms, Molecular Therapy, and Genomic Medicine. TIGEM’s researchers and wider institutional activities are supported by the Scientific Office, led by Graciana Diez-Roux, the Chief Scientific Coordinator. The SO intern will experience aspects of scientific project management from grant sourcing, event coordination, scientific communication, public engagement, policy and more. The SO intern will work within the collaborative and supportive environment of the SO, contributing to drafting research proposals, scouting for funding opportunities, editing scientific texts. The intern will also interact within the wider TIGEM community, interacting with our researchers, group leaders, and the wider staffing body.

Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicants, based on their previous experience.
Qualifications: Qualifications: Candidates should have an undergraduate degree in Biology or a related discipline. Previous experience and proven excellent skills in communication of science are a valuable addition. English language abilities essential (ideally native speaker). The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, take initiative, and be able to work in a highly collaborative environment both independently and as part of the team.
