Postdoctoral position in Pastore's Lab
Where: The workplace is the Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine, located in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy.
When: The position is available starting from July 2023.
What: The Post-doc will be involved in a very exciting project on the role of lysosomes in the liver pathology associated with Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. The project is mainly focused on modelling the liver disease in a 3D organoid system and in vivo.
Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicant, based on previous experience.
Essentials: Post-Doctoral candidates should have a PhD in Biology or a related discipline and preferentially a background in the field of 3D cellular systems, autophagy and liver biology.
Excellent skills in cell biology and molecular biology techniques are required. Previous experience with imaging is highly desirable. In addition, the candidate should be highly motivated, able to work and think independently and as part of a research team and he/she should have good communication skills.
