What: One research Fellow position and one PostDoctoral position are available in the Cell-based High Content Screening (HCS) laboratory under the supervision of Manuela Morleo and Diego Medina. Work’s topic will be the systematic reclassification of Variants of Unknown Significance in cancer-predisposing genes through machine learning applied to CRISPR-based functional screens.

The positions will be funded  for 1 year, renewable for an additional year, thanks to The National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) research grant (2023-2025).

Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicants, based on their previous experience. Candidates coming to Italy for the first time, or returning after residing abroad, may take advantage of very attractive income tax benefits.

Essentials: Research Fellow candidates should have a master’s degree in biology or a related discipline and preferably background and mastering of basic molecular and cell biology techniques. Postdoctoral candidates should have a PhD in biology or a related discipline and preferably documented experience in cellular and molecular biology. The ideal candidates should be strongly motivated and able to work in a research team.
