When: The position is available starting ASAP. What: The Post-Doctoral position involves the development of a siRNA-based high content imaging screening to identify intracellular pathways regulating glycosphingolipid homeostasis in Batten diseases. We will exploit state-of-the-art imaging techniques, gene editing, and cell biology approaches using cellular models of Batten disease.
Salary: The salary will be discussed privately with the applicant, based on their previous experience.
Essentials: Post-doctoral candidates should have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline and preferentially a background in the field of lysosomal storage disorders, in particular Batten disease. Excellent skills in cell biology and molecular biology techniques are required, including imaging techniques and microscopy. Previous experience in high content imaging is highly desirable, but not mandatory. In addition, the ideal candidate should be a highly motivated person, able to work and think independently and as a part of a research team and he/she should have good communication skills to keep periodic communication with our industrial collaborators.
