Human Resources and General Affairs

The Human Resources Office presents contractual content to employees, files personal documents related to the Institute’s personnel, and manages stipend distribution to  employees. The General Affairs office handles bureaucratic matters for both international and domestic employees, including Immigration policy and workplace entry.  In addition, staff handles external contracts resulting from institutional collaborations with local and regional agencies and universities. 

Purchasing and Administration

The purchasing agent provides responsible acquisition of goods to the institution. Consumption and demand are evaluated to ensure that expenditures are made properly. Record keeping and documentation of purchase history ensures that materials are paid for and are delivered to the Institute in a timely manner. The office supports lab managers in the preliminary phases of ordering materials and the cost-reporting process for fund management. Every year the office organizes training involving work safety, in addition to the constant duties in aiding the safety coordinator with health surveillance. 

Director's and Researchers' Secretary

The Secretariat assembles the agendas of both researchers and the Director. This often includes preparation of meetings,  conferences and travel plans for the aforementioned. The office welcomes distinguished external researchers and scientists to participate in seminars and organizes logistics of such events. 


The Receptionist handles general contact with external parties. She manages all matters related to the transport of products, such as conducting customs procedures, receiving packages, and making reservations with post services for pick-up. The receptionist also is in charge of coordinating the disposal of waste products. Lastly, clerical work such as fax and communicative matters are handled by the receptionist.
