The TIGEM/OU PhD programme started in 2001 and has been renewed ever since on an annual basis.

Goal of this graduate programme is to prepare doctoral students for research careers in all aspects of human genetics.

The graduate programme in human genetics is based on an official agreement between TIGEM and the British Open University. TIGEM provides students enrolled in the programme with a fellowship, laboratory space, facilities, resources, and educational activities (see below) while the University confers the student with a UK PhD title.

The admission procedure requires the student to submit for application.
A good knowledge of both written and spoken English is compulsory.
Students are expected to fulfil the requirements for the PhD degree within three to four years.

DEADLINES:

Submission of the application: 31 May 2010
Seminar and interview of selected candidates: September 2010
Starting date: October 2010
