Through a formal agreement between the Texas Children Hospital and the Baylor College of Medicine, TIGEM now has a new location at the  Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute (NRI - http://www.nri.texaschildrens.org/).

This new Joint venture opens important new prospectives for TIGEM and our scientists, through the establishment of an inter-institutional programme TIGEM-Baylor focused on the study of Lysosomal Storage Disorders (http://www.nri.texaschildrens.org/faculty_research/andrea_ballabio.aspx). The new TIGEM-USA laboratory will allow TIGEM researchers to establish fruitful collaborations with Baylor scientists and allow TIGEM graduate students and PostDocs to spend time at the NRI learning new techniques and having access to particular instruments and facilities.

This new TIGEM-USA laboratory will further broaden TIGEM's scientific horizons and open exciting new opportunities for our scientists.  This new joint initiative is sponsored by the Beyond Batten Foundation (http://www.beyondbatten.org/).
